Steps to - Memorize things

1.Understand why you remember the issue...
It really is mostly important because you aren't finished with it, or that you want to do something,  repair it or even forget it (therein lies the problem). These actually enforce the need to remember.

2.Simplify It by breaking it down...
Break whatever you're trying to memorize down into smaller categories or groups. This is why phone numbers are broken up by dashes. Those dashes help separate the number into easily recognizable groups for the brain.

3.Relax...
If you are cramming a lot of information into your brain in a short space of time, try and get relaxed first. Meditate or if you are not into that then just listen to the breath entering and leaving your body. You need to be as relaxed as you can whilst taking information in as a disorganized mind will lead to disorganized memories.

4.Concentrate...
If you only have a limited amount of time in which to remember these things then you must concentrate as much as possible on whatever the task is that you are now doing. If you do not concentrate, your memories will be fuzzy.

5.Relate the thing...
If you're going to successfully learn how to memorize things quickly, this is a big one. Your brain will much more likely remember something if it reminds you of a long term memory that you've never forgotten. Think about what you're trying to remember and think about the things it reminds you of. This goes a long way in memorizing things quickly.

6.Make Logical explanation...
Probably the best way to remember things is to make a logical explanation to what you are learning. Making it a habit to remember things may help a lot for some people.

 7.Write on...
Write a note on small pieces of the work when memorizing a speech, essay, or other work of prose. Do this by breaking off in sensible places, such as the end of a paragraph, idea, or quote. Affix the notes to a highly visible place in your bedroom or living room where you look often.

8.Gaze little longer...
Gaze little longer on things you need to remember. This may look silly but it works.

9.Good sleep...
Sleep is very much necessary to memorize things. Sleep disorders leave you tired and makes you unable and uncomfortable to concentrate during the day.

Like every other part of your body, your brain needs to be stretched, flexed, and otherwise used in order to keep it in great working condition. This can be done with a lot of fun by playing brain games like Sudoku and crosswords.

Steps to – Get out of Depression

1.Have the will to get out…
Many people remain depressed simply because they lack the will to go out. It certainly can be difficult to push yourself when you're feeling down but it is an effort well worth making. If you don't feel up to socializing as such but feel the need for company, get out of the house and do whatever it is you were going to do at home, somewhere else. For example, rather than staying home and doing a crossword, take it to library and do it there in the company of other people. Exchanging a few pleasantries with the librarian might make a difference to your day.

2.Establish a clear understanding of what made you depressed...
Many people remain unhappy because they attribute their unhappiness to the wrong things, or to nothing at all. Social pressure can often keep you from even questioning your happiness about certain things. Be honest with yourself, or you wont even know what to move on from.

3.Change your state of affairs…
If you're unhappy, and want to become happy, something about your life clearly needs to change. For many people, this means their surroundings. Are you still living in the small town that caused your feeling's of rural inadequacy? Move. Are you still working at the company that gives you no sense of meaning whatsoever? Quit. Are you still in the relationship that is making you feel manipulated? Break up. This may seem trivial, but it's often the most overlooked obstacle between you and your satisfaction.

4.Gain some perspective…
You have access to the internet that places you well above the social circumstances of the majority of the world. There's a point at which you simply have to accept that your happiness is your own responsibility, and it's comprised of the decisions you make. Everything in your life capable of breaking is going to at some point. You've got hands. Fix them.

5.Seek help from a mental health professional…
Many studies prove that talk therapy helps with depression. To get the most out of talk therapy, you need to find a therapist that you like and trust, and work with him or her over a longer period of time. It doesn't have to be years, but don't expect that serious depression will evaporate without some consistent work on your part. Cost doesn't have to be a barrier: most cities have reduced-fee clinics and many universities offer help through their psychology training programs.

6.Working with your chemicals…
There is a chemical-biological explanation to everything going on within our bodies. Serotonin is a chemical which is synthesized in our brain, that makes our mood go up. The depression results as (or caused from) serotonin level going down in our brain. The anti-depressants actually deal with taking serotonin level higher. Serotonin chemical can actually be synthesized in our brain so we don't need pills to get our moods up actually. The best way to increase your serotonin levels is sports. Please don't under estimate the effect of sports because it increases your serotonin level and makes you feel good. Instead of standing in your home swallowing pills, going outside and running on your own is a way much better way to feel good about yourself.
Don't forget that you can overcome depression.

Steps to - Remember Dreams

babel11
Remembering your dreams is the starting place for learning to have lucid dreams. you have to be familiar with the way your own dreams work.Getting plenty of sleep is the first step to good dream recall. If you are rested it will be easier to focus on your goal of recalling dreams, and you won't mind so much taking the time during the night to record your dreams. The dream is the shortest, perhaps 10 minutes in length, while after 8 hours of sleep, dream periods can be 45 minutes to an hour long.
1.Make a conscious decision to remember your dreams…
You’ve got a better chance of remembering your dreams if you really want to remember them. Assuming you do want to, tell yourself that you’re going to remember your dreams and conscientiously follow the steps to make your desire to remember your dreams come true.

2.Put a pad and pen or pencil within easy reach of your bed…
It’s best if it just has plain paper with no designs or other distractions. Use this pad only for recording your dreams. Before you go to sleep, make sure it is open to the next page on which you can write so you don’t have to search for a blank page when you wake up. Always put the pen in the same spot so that you don't have to search for that, either. An alternative to writing your dreams is to keep a tape recorder near your bed or under your pillow so that you can verbally recount what happened in your dream.

3.Place your alarm clock close to your bed...
When you wake up you want to be able to focus on remembering your dreams before you perform any other activities. If you can wake up without an alarm clock, you won’t have to worry about turning it off, but if you do need an alarm, make sure you can turn it off quickly and easily, preferably without even moving in bed. Don’t use a radio alarm clock, as the ads or chatter on the morning show will likely distract you from your task.

4.Get to bed early enough to get adequate sleep on a consistent basis…
If you wake up too tired to think, you’ll find it hard to recall your dreams. Too little sleep will also limit the number of dreams you have. People who sleep less than six hours have a hard time remembering dreams.

5.Think about a major problem or emotional concern right before you fall asleep…
Think deeply about the situation without pressing for solutions or coming to conclusions. Just thinking about the problem "opens the door", in a sense, to more vividly remembered dreams, and the dreams may even offer more insights regarding the problem at hand.

6.Concentrate on recalling your dream as soon as you wake up…
Typically you can remember only the last dream you had before waking. Focus your gaze on the first object you see as you open your eyes. Look at the object; focus on it. That object will most often take the vague recollection of your dream to a place mark in memory where it is easier to recall details. A doorknob, a light bulb, or a nail in the wall, for example, will quell your urge to begin your day, and will help you to settle into memories of what you had experienced while sleeping.

7.Increase the number of dreams you can remember by writing in your dream journal…
You dream several times while you're sleeping, so if you only record the last dream you had before you get up in the morning, there are more dreams you might not be remembering. It’s always tempting to go right back to sleep when you wake up in the middle of the night, but take the opportunity to remember what you were dreaming before you do—in all likelihood you will not remember it in the morning.

Since you usually only remember the last dream you had, you can remember more dreams by waking up several times during the night. We go through a complete sleep cycle approximately every 90 minutes, so you may find it productive to set your alarm to wake you at some multiple of 90 minutes (such as 4.5, 6, or 7.5 hours) after you expect to go to sleep. Dreams in the later half of the night are typically longer than those you dream soon after going to sleep, so you probably want to wait until at least the 4.5 hour mark to intentionally wake yourself.

In a word, our dreams are powerful. And with practice, it is a power that we can indeed harness. With a sustained effort, practice, and a healthy dose of patience, you'll remember dreams - and your waking life will be richer because of it!

Steps to - Increase Concentration

1.Try to recognize these distractions and take care of them...
Internal distractions such as thoughts, emotions, physical feelings, hunger and tiredness can interrupt your ability to focus. Do something about the things that are bothering you before you start the task at hand. For instance, if you know that you are hungry, eat before you
start a task.
2.Stop distracting thoughts that pop into your mind as soon as you
are aware of them...
You can do this by “noticing” the thought, and then consciously bringing your attention back to the task at hand.
3.Keep a reminder pad handy...
If something that you have to do pops into your head, jot it down to get it off your mind.
4.Use a pencil or highlighter...
Taking notes or highlighting key points are ways to keep yourself actively involved in
a task such as reading.
5.Plan breaks according to your concentration span...
You are not a machine. Taking a walk or a lunch break will help clear your head.
6.If you find yourself losing focus, stand up...
The physical
act of standing up brings your attention to the fact that you’re losing focus. It lets you stop the process and bring your thinking back to the task at hand.

Steps to - Forget Things

1.Understand why you remember the issue...
It really is mostly because you aren't finished with it, or that you want to do something, such as undo it, repair it or even forget it (therein lies the problem). These actually enforce the need to remember.
    2.Consider how you remember...
Do the thoughts just happen, or do they happen on a stimulus, such as seeing, hearing (etc) something connected to the event? It can be quite subtle.
Its very important to find out how you remember. Sometimes a feeling will prompt that memory to make new feelings. Its very much like a groove we just go into, and also like a linked chain or a line of dominoes all linked together.
3.Find out if it possible to remove the stimulus...
If you wish to forget a sad event, yet have symbols and images related to event, it is virtually impossible to forget. In this case, put those objects away, or redecorate and make a fresh start. There is a good grain of practical wisdom to the old quote "out of sight, out of mind".
4.Find out if it is because you want to forget it, to destroy the memory or the event itself...
Do you want to remember something in order to venerate or respect someone, or something? Do you want justice or vengeance for your pains? In order to want to do something, you have to have & retain the object of that wanting. It literally means that the "wanting" feelings and the "object" (being the memory) require and support each other. They cannot exist on their own.
5.Understand the context of the memory...
In order to forget it, you must be prepared to let it go. The way to do it always depends on the context. If you feel obliged to remember something, but wish to forget it, then evaluate the benefit of the continued review of that memory. If it is about a tragedy in your family or friends, can you love them enough to forgive and move on? If you have an embarrassing or a regret based memory, are you prepared to learn from it, to satisfy your mind that you will be mindful not to repeat that mistake? If it is something that you strive for justice or revenge, are you prepared to move on and no longer let the past poison your life? The story of | Romeo & Juliet is filled with examples of vendetta as none could forgive and forget until it was too late.
6.Commit, for the true solution is hard work...
Firstly, accept the event happened, forgive it and yourself and let it go.If necessary, do talk to someone. Be it a friend, counselor or a therapist. Hypnosis & meditation may help some cases as a way to train the mind.
7.After that, stop wanting to have anything to do with the object or theme...
Be bored with it, disenchanted with it, and/or remind yourself the benefit of letting go. This is the hard part as its like removing a much loved toy from a child, the child is not going to enjoy it, but eventually the child will become accustomed to putting their toys away. Its really the same thing, you must put your memories away by being prepared to put them away and move on. Be patient & kind with yourself & others.

Steps to - Save Money on Gas

1.Fill up when your tank is 3/4 empty...
This saves you money because you’re hauling a lighter load—and gives you ample time to take advantage of a bargain if you spot one. But don’t wait until you’re running on fumes to gas up, as this can damage the electric fuel pump.

2.Buy gas early in the morning...
That’s when the ground where gas tanks are stored is cool. The cooler the ground temperature, the more dense the gas, meaning you’ll get what you pay for. (When the mercury soars, gas expands and what is measured as a gallon at the pump is actually slightly less.)

3.And try to hit the pump midweek...
Gas prices will sometimes rise on Thursday, as demand by weekend drivers increases, writes Vera Gibbons at walletpop.com. Your best shot at finding the lowest prices is usually at midday on Tuesday or on Wednesday morning.

                      4.Choose the right octane level...
Check your owner’s manual, but unless you have a high-performance car, you should stick with regular octane gas. As the Federal Trade Commission points out, filling up with high-octane products generally won’t increase anything but your bill at the pump.

                      5.Keep your tires maintained...
Ensuring they are properly inflated and aligned can increase gas mileage up to 3 percent, claims the FTC.

                      6.Don’t drive aggressively...
Department of Energy statistics cited at walletpop.com show that for each mile you drive at over 60 miles per hour, you are essentially paying an additional ten cents per gallon. And erratic acceleration and braking can waste an additional 50 cents a gallon. Slow and steady wins this race.

                      7.Park in the shade...
Gasoline evaporates out of your tank, and it does so more quickly when you’re parked in direct sunlight, no matter the season. And in the summer, parking in the shade means you’ll need less A/C to cool things off when you return to your car. So pull into a shady space, and to further minimize evaporation, make sure the seal on your tank is tight.

8.Use A/C only on the highway...
Air conditioning can burn roughly 8% of your fuel. So when driving at lower speeds, open the windows instead, advises wikihow.com. While doing so increases drag, the resulting loss in fuel efficiency won’t be as great as if you had the A/C cranked. Better yet, open the vents.

                      Steps to - Save water

                      1.Install a water meter...
You might be very surprised to find out how much water you are actually using. By installing a water meter you can raise your awareness and consequently reduce your water intake.

                      2.Check your plumbing for leaks...
Especially leaking toilets and faucets. Fix anything you find leaking. A silent toilet leak could waste from 30 to 500 gallons every day!

                      3.Take shorter showers...
Install a valve that fits just behind the shower head. These valves are inexpensive and simply screw into place. Turn the water on for long enough to get wet. Then, use the valve to turn the water off while preserving the temperature of the water while you soap up. Turn the water on again to rinse.

4.Catch the cold water that comes out...
While you are waiting for the hot water. Use it to water plants or pour into your toilet reservoir after flushing.  Water from a hot water tank may have more sediment or rust than water from the cold water tank, but is otherwise suitable for drinking. If you use a water filter, you can filter the saved water, and put it in bottles in the refrigerator for drinking water.

                      5.Turn the tap off...
While you are brushing your teeth, shaving, washing your hands, doing dishes, and so on. Turn the tap off when you shower, too. Get wet, then turn off the water while you soap up. Turn it back on for long enough to rinse. Look for a twist valve that installs behind your shower head to keep the water temperature where you set it while the water is off.

                      6.Wash full loads...
Wait until you have a full load of clothes before you wash a load. Don't wash a load of clothes just because you want to wear the same pair of pants the next day! When washing your clothes be sure to use the economy mode and this will save you both water and electricity! This goes for dishwashers, too. Load the dishwasher full but not overly full.

7.Use waste water or gray water...
From the bath, washing machines or dish washing on the garden. If possible, hook up a hose to the outlet on your machine to send the water outside onto your garden. To re-use bath water use a hand-operated Syphon Pump. When hand-washing dishes, rinse the dishes into a container, and empty the container into your garden.

                      8.Don't flush every time...
Remember; "If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down."

9.Water the garden and lawn at night...
Watering at night gives water more time to soak in without added evaporation from the day's heat.
                      10.Don't over-water...
Don't water any faster than the soil can absorb the water. If water is running off the lawn onto the sidewalk, cut the watering time or divide it into two smaller segments to allow time for the water to absorb.

11.Grow plants with like water needs together...
Sometimes called "hydrozoning," this method simply means that plants are grouped together by water use, so that they can all be watered appropriately.

Steps to - Get in touch with nature

1.Recycle what you have in the closet...
Go through your closet and try finding pieces that represent nature as if you were it. There is no need to go to expensive stores. Try looking for bracelets and necklaces made from rocks, minerals, and other earth elements. Prefer muted clothes in tones of browns, greens, blues and red Earth colors.
                      2.Start a nature journal...
You can buy a simple notebook,or a fancy one. Then just go outside and draw the nature that you see. A really cool thing to do is to get an envelope and glue it or tape it to one of the pages to your notebook, then go outside and collect samples of maybe flower petals, or dried leaves. That's up to you.

3.Find some seeds to plant in your yard...
If you want to bring some nature indoors, ask the people who work in a garden store what plants can be kept indoors. Ask your neighbors what plants they are growing and if you can take cuttings to strike in your garden.

4.Talk to your friends about nature...
Instead of talking to them about makeup and skinny jeans, talk to them about your pet, or just the environment.

                      5.Do some research...
Record all of the information you find in your nature journal. Maybe print out a couple of pictures, but not too many though because remember we are trying to help the environment here! Consider cutting images out of magazines that nobody wants to read anymore; that way you will be reusing too.

6.Buy stuffed animals to decorate your room...
Good choices include gorillas, chimpanzees, elephants, monkeys, cheetahs, tigers, whales, pandas. Then display them in your room. You are bringing attention to animals that are endangered in a fun, persuasive and lively way.

Steps to - Tension free life

                      1.Don't give up your sucess:
Do not give up at the first hurdle! While it isn't sensible to pursue an idea or project that will not take off despite your best efforts, no-one got anywhere in life by giving up at the first downfall. If you want something badly enough and have the skills required to pull it off, you can often do so with nothing but hard work and determination. And the harder it is to achieve the better you will feel when you do...

                      2.Strive for perfection:
If you are going to bother doing something do it well! Mediocre efforts won’t make you proud, so do your best in every way. Cook from scratch, decorate according to instructions (preparation is key!) and do your job to the best of your ability. Invest as much time in nurturing your children when they are young as you can; you will never get those years back, and soon enough they will refuse to listen to anything you have to say.

                      3. Be true to yourself at all times:
Who cares what anyone else thinks? You may be surprised... Many people are inhibited or feel they are being scrutinised by others. Young adults, especially, seek to fit in and to be approved of by their peers. We should celebrate our differences! Don’t follow the crowd: be creative - dare to be different. Despite what people might say, they often respect and admire ‘individuals’. Speak your mind clearly but without causing unnecessary offence. We are not responsible for people’s reactions to our opinions, but we are responsible for how we convey our thoughts. Be diplomatic but steadfast.

                      4. Treat others respect:
When you treat people nicely they usually reciprocate; otherwise, they are probably best avoided. Treat people in the way you would like to be treated (always asking permission regarding anything kinky!), and do your best to make people feel good about themselves. Everyone has the right to an opinion - do not try to force your views on others. Consider your neighbours (locally and globally) and try to live your life without disrupting the lives of others or causing anyone harm.

                      5. Enjoy the pleasures of the without guilt:
The body is a wonderful gift, and it should be enjoyed without any negative feelings, whether they were brought about by what a parent once said, what the church caused you to believe when you were young, or because of negative self-body-image. Our bodies do not need to experience an orgasm in order to cause a pregnancy, and we do not require a partner in order to orgasm. Sex, therefore, is not just about making babies; it is about being close to someone, and releasing stress, and generating hormonal changes that help keep the mind happy and the body healthy. Safe sex should be enjoyed as frequently as possible. Do not allow anyone to tell you any different!

                      6. Find a job you love:
You will probably be happier doing a job you love for less money than one you hate that pays far more. And there is a job out there that you would love – you just may not have considered or even heard of it. We spend most of our adult lives at work; it is crazy to choose a job that you do not genuinely bounce out of bed feeling happy to do. Be inventive; consider working for yourself, or retraining in an entirely different field. The world is a far smaller place than it was a decade or two ago, and the Internet has created many interesting opportunities. Don’t settle for something that makes you miserable. You deserve better than that.

                      7. Forgive yourself when you make a mistake:
We all make mistakes or, even worse, knowingly do something ‘wrong’ or 'bad,’ that makes us feel terrible. Some people do truly terrible things, but the vast majority do not. Psychological research has shown that we are far more critical of ourselves than other people are, and that we expect to be judged far more harshly than we would judge others in the same position. Let yourself off. Start afresh and give yourself a break; to have recognised you did something wrong means that you have a moral compass and that your conscience is working just fine. Applaud yourself - there are many people who wouldn't have noticed...

                      8. Take everything you hear and read with a pinch of salt:
Remember that most newspapers and television broadcasters are not independent, and that people have their own motivations for saying/writing things. These may be political, financial, or sentimental, but they are usually not worth getting excited about. Whilst we should try to be aware of events going on in the world around us, and play whatever part we can in making the world a better place, it is foolish to allow negative news and gossip to affect our daily lives. The media feeds us stories to provoke reactions, and politicians say whatever they must to gains votes, money, power, etc.

                      Steps to - happy life

Many people lack true happiness, or lead un fulfilling lives. This kind of deep dissatisfaction can eventually lead to depression, relationship break-down, etc. Unfortunately, there isn't a magic wand that can guarantee happiness. However, here are eleven steps that will help you live a happier, more fulfilling life.
                       1. Learn to laugh at yourself...
This is easier said than done, but once achieved you will wish you had done it sooner. When life is getting you down, and things are going wrong, see the comedic value in the situation. See yourself from the 'God perspective' - if you perceive your struggles in context they are usually pretty damn funny. Taking yourself too seriously creates unnecessary pressure. Life doesn't always go your way - plans fail, you mess things up, and people screw you over. But you're still here...
                      2. Invest in memories...
This is difficult advice for anyone accustomed to the Western lifestyle. We love to consume, and often value possessions over experience, but life can be so exciting if you stop shopping and start living. And experience helps develop character. Buy only what you need, and spend whatever you have spare on enjoying yourself.
                      3. Face your fears...
Fear cripples people – fear of failure, fear of success, fear of being alone, fear of letting go and loving with all your heart; these are all fears that stop people living the lives they dream of. Facing your fears is not easy, but life has a funny way of forcing you to, should you not willingly take up the challenge. Do it. Feel it. Face it. Then proceed swiftly to freedom and happiness!

Steps to - stand out above the work

Do you feel like one in a million at work ? and not in a good way? When you run into your boss in the hallway, do you get the impression she isn't sure who you are? Are the juicy projects always going to someone else?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you need to raise your work profile. Here are some tips to get you started.
                      1. Listen more than you talk...
If you offer an opinion, suggestion, comment or question at every opportunity, soon people will run away when they see you coming. Remember when you were in college and there was always one smart-aleck who, when the class was asked, "Are there any more questions?" would shoot his hand in the air and hold the class up? Don't be that student in the boardroom. If you listen carefully and confine yourself to intelligent and to the-point remarks, you'll end up looking smarter than most of the people in the room. And when you do have something to say, everyone will listen.
                      2. Meetings aren't for airing dirty laundry...
If you have a problem or gripe with someone, bring it to his or her attention privately. When you point fingers or air departmental problems in a group setting, you (a) blindside the person you're complaining about, and (b) have just about ruined your chances for a peaceful resolution. Besides, the next time you make a mistake, that person will fall all over himself to make sure to bring it up in a large meeting just to watch you squirm.
                      3. Try to catch people doing something right...
Whether boss, co-worker or subordinate, people love to be told they're doing a good job. You don't have to turn into Eddie Haskell to be aware of opportunities to compliment someone. Keep it short, low-key and honest. It's even better if you can pass the compliment to someone else. "Hey, boss, Jim was a huge help to us on the Acme project ? he made some suggestions that should save us $20,000." What are the chances that the boss is going to mention it to Jim the next time he sees him? Pretty good.
                      4. Know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em...
Pick your battles. If you've made the best case you can for doing something a certain way and the boss decides to do it Sally's way, smile and go along (unless doing it Sally's way is going to send you to jail). If your way really is better, people will remember that when Sally folds like a cheap card table. When you do decide to keep fighting to do it your way, make sure it's something worth fighting for and not just because you can't stand to lose. If you only start a war when the stakes are high you have a better chance of coming out on top than if you try to fight every low-level skirmish like Sherman going through Atlanta.
                      5. Don't hide your mistakes...
As soon as it becomes apparent that something has gone wrong, take it to your boss and be upfront about what happened. Have a plan laid out to correct the problem and limit the fallout. You should be able to tell the boss that you've already put the recovery in motion and exactly what the final outcome will be. The key here is to accept the blame without hand wringing or whining and pointing fingers at your subordinates or other departments. You take the responsibility, and then you take the lead in fixing it.
